Lux Scarlet Blossom Body Wash - Review

Lux Scarlet Blossom Body Wash

I love the smell of this body wash. It makes me think of sensual Arabian nights.. hot summer nights.

I wanted to give it a few weeks. How else can I give an honest review?

It comes in a oval 200 ml bottle with a flip top cap the gel is a clear vibrant red gel. The Consistency is a thick gel and if you are not careful it slips off your skin and loofah. It lathers up well if you use a generous amount. It leaves a nice clean feeling, but it leaves your skin dry and the fragrance doesn't last. I have extremely dry skin and have to use body butters to keep my skin nice and hydrated. It would have been great if I could use a body butter in this fragrance.

Pros of Lux Scarlet Blossom Body Wash

·         I love the yummy smell of this body wash it is quiet heavy but did not irritate my nose. ( I’m the hay fever queen and almost everything makes me sneeze )
·         It is nice and foamy and lathers up quite nicely.
·         Reasonably priced and easily available

Cons of Lux Scarlet Blossom Body Wash

·         I do not know what the Fragrance pearls are and I couldn't find any information on the Unilever Website
·         The fragrance didn't last very long, which is not a bad thing if you wear perfume. I liked the smell and it is a pity I can’t make it last longer with a body butter.
·         It is not moisturizing at all, and you will have to make use of a good body cream after you use this.

Will I Repurchase Lux Scarlet Blossom Body Wash?

Yes I will, I will try out some of the other products in this range as well. Yes it is not moisturizing, I have not found a body wash that smells great and is truly moisturizing. The Fragrance doesn't last but that only helps that it doesn't interfere with my perfume. This might not be my holy grail, but it sure is yummy smelling and it washes the day away.

Lushes Lashes - Revitalash

Lashes, what is more feminine than long lushes lashes? They frame your eyes and you can bat them seductively,  its a weapon women and girls has been wielding since the dawn of time.

But the gods of lashes were playing a nasty trick and gave my brother the most enviable curly girly batty lashes... and I'm stuck with short stocky verandas.( my pet name for the short little lashes I have that can only be good for trying to keep the sun out of my eyes , that is how low they hang)

If you are like me and have been trying all kinds of mascara to make it look longer and curl your lashes with an array of metal and heated instruments that can easily find it's way into a scary movie,  only to have the results be almost impossible to see  or only last a last a few minutes. There is hope.

Lets not go into the about  the amount of times I have glued my eyes together or my fingers to my eyes in a futile attempt to get falsies to stick to the right place Then after hours of gluing and wresting with the little spidery creatures very proud of my self I go on my way fluttering my lashes for all to see... just to have it pop of in the corners after an hour!! The frustration!
You have my respect if you are able to glue these little stubborn creatures to your eyes bye the way.

After years of cursing the little verandas I came across a product on You Tube. I contemplated importing this from the states but happened upon their South African Web site Revitalash

Being on the pricey side I was cautions.. ( yes I have been fooled by products, ) So I Googled and researched with a little hope in my heart, the next step in my quest for batty lashes was semi-permanent lashes, but in the end I decided to try it at least once before going the salon route.

This is the best thing I have ever used for my lashes! And I have tried quiet a fair amount of products.

It’s not a product that works over night. But within 2 months I had the most beautiful lashes that people complimented me about!!! It even went from my little downward sloping verandas ( which is what I Call my short and stocky lashes) to upward curling lashes.

It’s so simple to use at night you apply the serum like a liquid eyeliner and it grows.

The product last about 3 months with regular application and you have to keep using it as the lashes goes back to short and stubby if you stop using the product.

So my quest for lashes has ended! I love it when products work how they are suppose to!
